Rare Disease Day 2023

Jan 2, 2023

Rare Disease Day is a global movement on rare disease, focusing on equity in social opportunity, and access to diagnosis and therapies for people who are living with a rare disease. Rare Disease Day is observed on the rarest day of the year, Feb 29th (or the 28th on non-leap years).

Rare Disease Day is patient-led but everyone can participate; families, caregivers, healthcare providers, industry and the general public. Coordinated by EURORDIS and over 65 national alliance patient organization partners, Rare Disease Day provides an opportunity to promote rare disease advocacy work at local, national and international levels.
